Indian Society of Haematology and Blood Transfusion (ISHBT)

ISHBT is a non-governmental and not-for-profit membership organization established on 1959 that is guided by its mission to promote excellence in patient care, research and education in hematology. ISHBT acts exclusively in the field of laboratory haematology and clinical haematology and its practitioners. It promotes and guides research in the clinical, molecular and genetics study of blood and its disorder. ISHBT is working hand to hand for the development in the lab.units both basics and molecular level.

ISHBT encourages academics events like annual conference, peripheral CMEs that brings haematologists around the globe. To encourage haematologists it conducts awards for best paper on haematology, best published article on national/international journal and prestigious Oration award during annual conference. ISHBT has international collaboration with EHA and ASH which provide young hematologists an international platform to discuss and broad diffusion of their knowledge. It helps government to formulate the guidelines of prevention and treatment of haematological disorders.
